Synopsis
Disappointed by her failure to break into the entertainment world, young Libby Caruso decides to look for someone to promote her invention, a clothing valet that keeps everyday clothes unwrinkled. She soon falls in love with sales-promoter Paul Davis, who arranges for her to plug the invention on Johnny Carson's television show. Libby's appearance fails to stimulate any interest in her invention, but it does start her on a singing career leading to movie stardom. Libby's growing doubtfulness about her feeling for Paul prompts her roommate, Jan, to suggest that she really loves Cuz, an old friend; Libby pursues the suggestion to success, while Paul, confused but willing, turns to Jan.
