Synopsis
Amy Post is a prostitute who has never gotten over having given her only child up for adoption. When Amy meets a drifter named Elmore Pratt, she does not like him. But the two misfits are both dreaming of a better life, and so they take to the road, leaving the deep South and heading for California. Before long, they realize that they are falling in love with each other.
