Synopsis

Despondent because she has broken her engagement to Pierre, a merchant seaman whose ship has just set sail, Jeannette, a beautiful dancer, crashes her car and is badly scarred. Professor Levyn, who has done research work on atom bomb victims of Hiroshima and is currently experimenting with human tissue regeneration, successfully treats her with a formula derived from the glands of dead women. When Jeannette's scars begin to reappear, Levyn, now hopelessly enamored of her, turns into a monster and against the advice of Monique, his devoted assistant, kills women for more formula ingredients. Pierre returns in time to alert the police and save Jeannette from a fiendish attack by the jealous professor, who has just murdered Monique. Pierre and Jeannette are reconciled.
