Synopsis

Frank Bogan, a convicted bank robber, escapes from prison and heads for a small western town to wreak vengeance on the people who helped imprison him. Sheriff Charles Morton and his deputy, Sam Freed, immediately alert the most likely victims--Dr. Knudson, now married to Bogan's former wife, and Jeff Baxley, who was responsible for the convict's arrest. The first indication of the fugitive's presence in the area is the brutal slaying of the doctor's pet dog. Morton then learns that Pat Bogan, sister of the hunted man, has given her brother her life savings to help him escape. Baxley is found murdered, and Morton organizes a posse to pursue the killer. After a 2-day ordeal in the desert, Morton finds his prey; but Bogan is already dead from wounds sustained in his escape from prison.
